Out now: ‘Bartók in Space and Time’ - a book that captures the compelling encounter between architecture and music that took place exactly one year ago. On the occasion of an experimental evening at Bozar, Brussels, conductor Gábor Káli and Flanders Symphony Orchestra performed Béla Bartók’s ‘Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta’, while Robbrecht en Daem architecten mirrored the music into architectural bodies. This rare dialogue between these two disciplines is illustrated by numerous drawings, calculations, images and notes, with an in-depth analysis by musicologist Mark Delaere.
