Das Wandern

The six separate pavilions requested for the new visitor centre were linked together to form a single horizontally articulated meandering storey.

This cluster (including a pavilion for nature education, a ‘Zwinshop’, a cafeteria, rooms for one-day seminars, and caretakers' accommodation) is located with precision throughout the woodland vegetation at the edge of the Zwin Park, Zwin Flats and the Kleyne Vlakte.

As one walks through the building, an (interactive) dialogue arises between the information provided inside and the natural surroundings outside.
