Robbrecht and Daem and Baneton – Garriono are pleased to announce that they won the competition for the conversion of the ancient Brussels Stock Exchange into the Belgian Beer Palace. The project includes a new monumental passage for the public and a center for experiencing Belgian beer.

The competition was organized by the City of Brussels, the Brussels-Capital Region and the Federation of Belgian Brewers.

The project follows a recurring theme in the work of Robbrecht and Daem architects: the reflection on cultural gathering places opening onto the surrounding urban space.

It is in this spirit that we have realized the Stadshal, the renovation of the Boekentoren and the state archives in Ghent, the Sint-Felix Archive in Antwerp, the city archives in Bordeaux and the Concrete Hall in Bruges in the past few years.
